About the Role:
We are an agri-commodity supply chain company with a strong network across India. We are looking for a seasoned business development professional with deep expertise in spice procurement who can bridge us with pharma, food processing, and allied manufacturing companies that purchase spices in bulk. This is a combined procurement and business development role — you will identify buyers, build relationships, and convert them into long-term business partners, while managing the supply chain from your end.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and engage with procurement officers at pharma, nutraceutical, food processing, and allied companies that purchase spices and spice-based materials in commercial quantities.
- Leverage your existing industry network to generate business leads and convert them into recurring buyers within our supply chain.
- Manage end-to-end spice sourcing - from identifying the right suppliers across India to ensuring quality, quantity, and delivery timelines are met.
- Build and maintain relationships with multiple buyer accounts, ensuring consistent supply and service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams on logistics, documentation, and quality compliance requirements.
- Monitor commodity price movements and market dynamics to advise buyers and inform procurement planning.
What We Are Looking For:
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in spice procurement or agri-commodity trading — candidates who have independently run sourcing operations are strongly preferred.
- Established relationships with procurement teams in pharma, food processing, FMCG, or nutraceutical companies that consume spices in bulk.
- Strong working knowledge of major spice varieties, including turmeric, chilli, cumin, coriander, pepper, and cardamom, with an understanding of their industrial applications.
- An active supplier network across key spice-producing regions in India — covering growers, millers, and processors who can consistently deliver to specification.
- Familiarity with quality standards, certifications, and compliance requirements relevant to industrial spice buyers.
